Pekel – Anton Ajster

Winery Pekel has vineyards on the southern slopes of Gorjanci above the river Krka, southeast of Cerklje ob Krki. 5.500 vines are cultivated at three locations. In 2012, they started organic production, and since 2014, the vineyards have been cultivated biodynamically, and in 2019 they also obtained the Demeter certificate. All the vineyards are vertical. In addition to Dolenjska’s specialty Cviček, they also produce quality and top-quality wines – Blaufränkisch, Riesling and Welschriesling and Pinot Gris.
