The majority of the vineyard, where we have chardonnay planted, is 40 years old, while part of it comes from the extremely steep location of Hrenc, which is 25 years old. We harvested the 2017 vintage at full maturity and continued in the spirit of orange wines with long maceration, spontaneous fermentation and immersion of grape skins. Maturation of the wine in an old oak barrel on fine lees. Organic production and processing of grapes.
The wine has a rich golden color with a slight orange tone. In the aroma, it offers a real basket of fruits – from oranges and peaches to honey and creamy notes, and then the other registers open and herbs come to light, mixed with walnuts and simple and also floral notes. A truly complex and all-encompassing flower that fully reveals itself at a slightly higher temperature. The taste is rounded, velvety, fruity and nutty, the tannic structure is medium and leaves a trace. The saltiness in the taste takes us right to the sea, even if we are firmly on the mainland.
Serving temperature: 14-16ºC
Pairing with food: meat dishes with rich sauces, porridges with herbs, pasta and aged cheeses.
