Ograde Škerk

Škerk Ograde is an orange wine coupage of the Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Grigio, Malvasía and Vitovska.

To make the Skerk Ograde wine, all grape varieties are macerated with their skins for about 15 days, in wooden containers. The must ferments with native yeasts and remains on its fine lees for twelve months in 550-litre wooden barrels and 15 to 20-hectolitre stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine is bottled without filtering, clarifying or adding sulphites. Once bottled, the wine rests in the cellar to finish refining before being sold.

This blend of Vitovska, Sauvignon, Pinot Gris and Malvasia immediately struck by the floral and complex character, made up of references and savory caramel. Even his color, almost onion skin, is the result of maceration on the skins in wooden vats for 15 days. Thanks to the careful work of Boris and his son Sandi, the style of the company can be found in full in this unique wine: balanced decline in freshness and flavor, rich in aroma and flavor, which only the terroir of the Carso can give.
