Fruity and fresh scent of wine. Red and black berries and cherries on the nose, sweetish vanilla notes, light lactic notes. 100 % Refosco from the fresh wines line, characterized by variety, fruity taste and harmony. Both sweetish and sour on the palate, elegant juicy fruit, very attractive finish. Organically grown and hand picked grapes in baskets. Classic vinification: 6 days of maceration, controlled temperature in fermentation on 24 ºC, ageing 24 month in inox tanks.
Maceration is the winemaking process where tannins coloring agents and flavor compounds—are leached from the grape skins, seeds and stems into the must. To macerate is to soften by soaking, and maceration is the process by which the red wine receives its red color, since raw grape juice is clear-grayish in color.
