Unique, beautiful quality, noble wine fell the wealth of nature, character of Istria, tradition and gentle hand of winemaker. Fruity with a great measure of freshness, which combines greatly with tannins into a harmonic, full, extract wine specialty of the Slovenian Istria. This is an extremely rich and full wine with an intense ruby color, a mature and complex smell and a full, soft and harmonic taste. Intensive fruit of dark berries and blackcurrants on the palate, uicy with a light aciee bite, integrated fine-grained tannins, still quite youthful, attractive finish. 100 % Refosco, a dry wine with 14 % vol. alcohol, maceration 21 days, matured in oak barrels, geographic designation Morova kortina, origin Slovenian Istria.
MACERATION
Maceration is the winemaking process where tannins coloring agents and flavor compounds—are leached from the grape skins, seeds and stems into the must. To macerate is to soften by soaking, and maceration is the process by which the red wine receives its red color, since raw grape juice is clear-grayish in color.
