Wine region: Friuli Venezia Giulia
Variety: 20% cabernet sauvignon, 80% merlot
Maceration: 20 days with authoctone yeasts without filtrations
Maturation: 12 months in barrels, 12 months in steel tanks and few years in bottle
It is a red cuvée of Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) and Merlot (80%)… the maceration takes place for approx. 20 days, after which the wine is aged for a year in wooden barrels, followed by flow into stainless steel, where it remains for a year, immediately after that it goes into the bottle , and when Franco decides it goes on sale itself.
The wine has a playful ruby color, and the range of aromas is divine…ripe red fruit, marmalade, forest undergrowth, a slight almost undetectable vanilla, in the background we find a slight pepper and a note of coffee and tobacco. The tannin is still very playful but very soft, fresh, with a nicely accentuated minerality, with a pleasant aftertaste reminiscent of forest fruit jam, which lasts and lasts. A wine that promises a lot of pleasure.
Pairing with food: Strong food.
