Deep opaque purple. The bouquet is still youthful, fruity. We find ripe black fruit, jam, prunes, but nothing overripe. Very Mediterranean, spicy. Rather southern Rhone than northern. Dry, moderate acids, strong body and full taste of overripe fruit, jam. There are not many tannins and they are nicely ripe.
Food matching: venison, barbecue, steak.
