Rumeni Muškat Dveri Pax

Boris’s tip: Do not expect sugar here it is dry. Amazing aromas and taste. I like it more than sweet one.

The colour is pale lemon gold. Pronounced on the nose, with youthful, clearly defined character of Muscat grapes. At the back, we can detect a bit of nutmeg, cinnamon. Very dry, lighter bodied, showing plenty of taste. Acidities are clearly marked and there is a long “muscaty” aftertaste. The wine is very drinkable! A classy, typical Muscat from our region.

Vintage 2020 is second in a row, where harvest times were stretched well into October, which was very much a normality 20-30 years ago. Prolonged ripening was allowed enabling grapes to achieve perfect ripeness giving wines with medium to low alcohol levels retaining high acidity levels and varietal characters. This are all attributes which wines from Štajerska Slovenia are famed for. We speak of 2020 as a classic Styrian vintage.

Pairing with food: Dry Muscat is favourited as a great aperitif among our Austrian neighbours. It will accompany cold dishes, and slightly spicy dishes such as curry. A wonderful summer wine.
