Merlot Štekar

In the glass the wine has a ruby-red color. On the nose the wine is fruity, dominated by ripe notes of cherry and sour cherry and plum jam and spices, in the background fruit candy and forest undergrowth. In the mouth, the wine is fruity and fresh, a little herbal, you can even taste coffee and chocolate, and in the medium-long departure it is a bit tannic and at the very end also perceptible mineral.

The fruit was brought in for native fermentations for 13 months in Slovenian oak barrels, made from the oak trees groving on the property, and was not filtered before bottling. The fresh quality of fruit, with ample acidity, and lovely supple tannins, make for a remarkable Merlot to drink around the dinner table with many different cuisines.
