Zelen Pregeljc

Zelen is a white wine variety that is widespread mainly in the upper Vipava Valley (indigenous variety). It is a wine for special occasions. The aroma of wine can be very complex, so it is almost impossible to compare it with other wines, yet each green has its own unique character and characteristics, it has its own “face”.

It was harvested by hand, the grapes were grown in a nature-friendly way. After harvesting, it was macerated for several hours on the grape must.

The color of the wine is a gentle straw-green shade. The smell is gently intense, fruity notes and delicate scents of Mediterranean fragrances are recognisable. The wine is full of flavor but fresh and nicely rounded. The flower is distinctly aromatic. After sage, cloves, dried apricot, also rose. Dry in the mouth, medium-bodied, with moderate acidity and an oily texture. The wine also expresses a distinctly juicy, fruity character in the mouth. Lush, generous, fairly rich and warm for green. With a long, warm finish.

Pairing with food: It can be served with a light summer dinner, food with a delicate taste, white meat.
