Opaque and dense. With the glass facing the light, I notice a dark ruby, which is still adorned with purple hues at the edges. The scent shows a few blackberries, maybe some cherries, and then an avalanche of ink, juniper berries spiced with a pinch of black pepper, which is so characteristic of ripe Refošk. The tannins are soft and full, they still need a few years of ripening to the right level, but they are still quite suitable for consumption. The acid is tamed, but still refošk characteristic. The departure is very long and does not end with the second sip.
