Hey!

I am Boris, a sommelier from Ljubljana. I am introducing Slovenian wines to foreigners.

I have been successfully leading two projects, www.winetastingljubljana.com and www.winetastingbled.com.

Wine lovers from all over the world are impressed by my story and slovenian wines. I have received countless compliments on Tripadvisor, that is how I came up with the idea – why would these wonderful wines be enjoyed only by guests who come to my wine tasting and not the whole world. That is why I manage this online store and started selling slovenian wines. As passionately as I do the tastings, with such passion I also put together this wine list here and the whole story. Fun and tasty experience We nearly didn’t book this as we thought it was a bit on the expensive side. However, plenty of wine and food, coupled with excellent cellar setting. Tina, our wine guide, was extremely knowledgable, funny and made it interesting. We have done lots of wine tastings before and didn’t know what to expect of Slovenian wine (not really exported to the UK) but found it to be really good quality and surprisingly diverse.

Excellent wine testing in Ljubljana Boris makes a very good show and overview about Slovenian wines. You get also a written documents about the tested wines.

Tipsy Boris We had received vouchers as a gift and that was our second wine tasting. The whole experience was nice, Boris was entertaining and we learned a few new things. The cons of the wine tasting were the fact, that he was rushing and that in the end I wanted to buy a bottle of wine but was declined and asked to send him a private message later. And so I did but I didn’t get any response. So I'm still waiting here, Boris! (Haha). I also read in the reviews that Boris drinks only water but we saw him pour wine into his glass and he was very tipsy at the end.

Entertaining guidance with a lot of data I expected a lot from this tasting, and I got even more. I strongly recommend it. Not only that wines chosen in this tasting really represents Slovenia as a wine country but the presenter itself is special - you get funny guidance with a lot of data! Loved it!

Amazing Experience We are 2 Slovenians and really enjoyed this experience and learnt a lot about our country's wines! Boris was a great and attentive host with a lot of knowledge. It's held in a wine cellar in the city centre so the atmosphere was truly unique.
