Peršolja

The farm of the Peršolja family is located in the village of Kozana, in the heart of the Briš hills. The view from the front of our homestead hugs the soft curves of the wine-growing hills, stops at churches and castles, follows sprawling villages and disappears towards the Adriatic Sea or stops at the stone guards of the Julians.
The clayey, marly Briška soil and the location of the vineyards, which are scattered in the sunniest areas, are difficult to cultivate. Such conditions and air currents from the sea and the Alps that meet here offer ideal conditions for viticulture.

VINA PERŠOLJA from Kozana in the Goriške Brdy – a centuries-old independent wine farm has established its wines in Slovenia, the Netherlands, Austria, Germany, Italy and elsewhere with modern viticulture and cellaring with the protected name and symbol of the vine leaf.

PERŠOLJA WINES have received many top awards: the first title of champion for Rebula vintage 2001 in 2002 at the food fair in Gornja Radgona, the title of champion for Chardonnay vintage 2002 in 2003 also in Gornja Radgona, numerous gold medals at the Ljubljana wine fair. In 1996, the Association of Slovenian Journalists awarded us the title of Slovenian wine champion for Chardonnay. In 1998, the venerable wine convention of St. Urbana in Ljubljana chose our Cabernet Franc among all the wines. Cabernet Franc was awarded a silver medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2007.
