Mavrič

In 1907, Danilo’s great-grandfather Martin bought an estate in Plešivo. His ancestors were colonists like most people in Brda, in addition to grapes they also grew fruit. Father Avgust produced wine in Yugoslavia and sold the must to larger cellars, which he built himself. During the cooperation with the cooperative, the renovation of vineyards and the reduction of orchards began. In 1991, they registered as grape and wine producers, and two years later they started bottling with their own brand. Red wines are matured in oak barrels, and a special Chardonnay with a gold label is aged in them. They dedicate themselves to every wine with heart and care.

They cultivate about six hectares of vineyards on the family farm. They produce the most white wine – Rebula, Pinot Gris, Green Sauvignon, Sauvignon and Chardonnay, while reds produce Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
