This autochthonous variety is very old and typical of the Karst. The wine is dry, golden yellow in color, with exceptional freshness, fullness and a flower reminiscent of the smell of almonds.
The aroma is dominated by the perceptions of white flowers, especially fruit flowers, but also ripe fruit. The taste is warm, the alcohol and acid pleasantly irritate the oral cavity and develop a long, really long aftertaste with notes of ripe fruit, especially peaches and pears, and a touch of bread crust. When all other perceptions slowly dissipate, a pleasant saltiness remains in the mouth, which grows on the mineral-rich karst soil.
Pairing with food: Despite the higher alcohol level, the wine goes extremely well with white meat, baked salmon, veal and pasta, as the pleasant acidity leaves a feeling of freshness and fruitiness.
