Distillery Kolarević

In the village of Vlakča at the foot of Mount Rudnik, distiller Aleksandar Kolarević has been producing brandy from the currently remaining 364 old Kaluđerka pear trees since 2008. The family orchard was created four generations ago, at the end of the 19th century, and the remaining trees bear organically grown, unsprayed fruit. It is from these, hand-picked fruits, that when the late frost does not decimate the crop, we get the brandy that is in front of us. And no more than a thousand liters per year. An excellently designed and recognizable award-winning label adorns the bottle, which also contains a multi-award-winning pear juicer. From the International Agricultural Fair in Novi Sad, through the Pančevo Festival “Brandy and Brandy”, all the way to the Šumadija Brandy Festival in Kragujevac, the gold medals are lined up. Fresh smell typical of the variety. Mineral profile, crystal clear and refreshing character, and finally a dry finish. The pleasant aftertaste doesn’t last long, but it’s just enough to call for another sip. An empty glass smells like ripe fruit. You can drink this brandy as an aperitif, or with some traditional Šumadija appetizer.

If you would like to try brandy made from organically grown Kaluđerka pears, whose trees date back to the 19th century, you would choose brandy from the Kolarević distillery. This distillery annually produces no more than a thousand liters of brandy, because their focus is precisely on quality and authenticity.

Their brandy is characterized by a fresh taste, typical of this type of fruit, but also exceptional drinkability and the smell of ripe pear.

In every glass of Kolarević brandy, you will feel the strength of its origin and the Rudnik mountain.
