The bubbly sensation of pet-nat is made from local varieties Žametna črnina, Blaufränkisch, and Kraljevina. With a delicate rosé hue, slightly cloudy, this disgorged dry sparkling wine features soft and lively bubbles. It offers fruity aromas of small berries on the nose and palate. Highly drinkable with pleasant acidity. It is characterized by low alcohol content, low caloric value, and low sulfur levels.
Low-yield vineyards are hand-picked, destemmed, pressed, and then fermented under controlled conditions in stainless tanks to preserve the aromatics. Pet-Nat is an abbreviation for the French term petillant-naturelle, the production method is also called ‘methode ancestrale’. It is a naturally sparkling wine, bottled before the completion of the first fermentation, allowing bubbles to form from the natural sugars present in the grapes. Disgorged.
