TERROIR
Continental cool climate, with cold winters and sunny, mild springs, with sun-drenching summers. The vineyard is located on a steep slope (30-40˚) of hill Lipoglav with southern-exposure, at an altitude of 300 m above sea level. The soils are predominantly marl.
VINIFICATION
Produced only in best vintages from selection of barrels. It is produced from carefully selected grapes from our vineyard. Minimal intervention approach in the cellar. After pressing the grapes the must ferments in new and used barrels made of Slovenian and French oak. Spontaneous lactic acid fermentation is finished in the barrels. The wine matures from ten to twelve months on the lees. Bottled without filtration.
TASTING NOTES
The wine is pale gold. The aroma is reserved but elegant and complex. The classic Chardonnay aroma of white pear and apple is balanced by well-integrated note of oak wood. Complex mouthfeel with lively acidity and balanced finish.
Pairing with food: grilled fish, steak, mussels.
