The old variety, which was unfairly neglected in the past decades, today produces an excellent wine with bright yellowish green shades, absolutely ideal for an aperitif. Its exceptional freshness is pleasant and elegant, and the bouquet is full of flowers and hints of fresh fruit. It is usually drunk within a year or two, and the harvests of the last decade prove that with proper cultivation in the vineyard (especially with minimal stress on the vines), excellent grapes are produced, completely different from those of a few decades ago. The taste of this rib is mild and pleasant, attractive and special at the same time. Its characteristic freshness is harmonious, and that’s why this rib goes well with local cuisine, and otherwise goes well with white meat dishes, pasta, potatoes and other lighter side dishes.
