Variety: 70% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon
Maceration: 2 days of cold and 8 days of classic maceration
Maturation: 16 Slavonian and French oak barrique barrels (10% of new barrels)
Ruby color with youthful violet hues. Mature aromas of ripe red fruits (bramble, raspberry, maraschino cherry), carob, spicy cinnamon notes, vanilla and some smoky notes. Recognizable aromatic of cabernet sauvignon (blackcurrant). Classical modern Bordeaux wine, ready to drink now but with a long life 5 – 10 years.
All the vines are very low yielded, 20% of them up to 6 clusters per vine. The grapes are very well matured; grape tops removed by seizers in beginning of August (at veraison).
Two days of cold and 8 days of classic maceration. The wine is aged for 16 months in Slavonian and French oak barrique barrels (10% of new barrels). Controlled malolactic fermentation and 3 months of active batonaging.
Paring with food: Recommended to pair with all kinds of red meat, venison and spicy dishes, in a few years also by itself in special gatherings.
