The slightly higher copper yellow color already lets us know that the wine is something special. On the nose, first nutmeg, pear, ginger, melon, then minerality; quartz. Aromatic and long on the palate. Longer cold maceration gave it fullness, there is no lack of fruit abundance with pleasant acidity.

The vine produces less in quantity, so it accumulates sugar quickly and a very prestigious wine can be obtained. The harvest is one of the earlier ones, as the grapes are among the first to ripen technologically. It is picked by hand, gently pounded and left to macerate cold for up to 7 days. After pressing the must, we add a yeast attachment for the correct course of fermentation, which is between 17 and 19ºC.

Cold maceration was favored for a long time, as we wanted to obtain the fullness of the wine, so it ferments slowly at 20ºC. After fermentation, it is gently stirred for a while on fine lees. The long cold maceration gave us a wonderful color and richness of aromas, and the lees contributed to rounding off all the components into a pleasant taste. Pinot Gris is a wine that can be drunk young, but it can also impress after years of maturation.

This line includes elegant white wines that are real giants on a global scale: Chardonnay, Rhenish Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris. Aurelija is a female name derived from the Latin word Aurelius. It can also be a male name and comes from the word Aureus, which is Latin for gold. Our wines in this line are connected with this, which are golden yellow in color and of noble varieties.

Pairing with food: from lighter food such as appetizers, cheeses, salads, raw meat (carpaccio, sushi and sashimi), shellfish, vegetables, poultry and fruit, and Asian cuisine, to cold cuts, roasts, even barbecue.
