Fabricijo Matjaž

Fabricijo is a family winery dedicated to producing wines in an ecological way, with deep respect for nature, the vineyard and the character of the terroir. We cultivate 3.5 hectares of vineyards, most of which are located in the village of Barbana, and some in Kozarno, where the location and soil allow for the production of grapes with a distinct varietal and local identity.
We follow the principles of minimal intervention in vinification. The wines are created through natural, spontaneous fermentation, without the addition of selected yeasts, which allows the wine to express the authentic character of the vintage and vineyard. We pay special attention to maturation, as the wines mature in barrique barrels, where they gain depth, structure and elegance, while maintaining freshness and balance.
Our philosophy is based on patience, manual work and the belief that good wine is first created in the vineyard. Fabricijo Winery wines are sincere, authentic and a reflection of the environment from which they come.
