Wine region: Goriška Brda
The wine is dark ruby red in color with a hint of brick hues that reveal signs of long maturation. The scents of ripe red fruit, spices, violet flowers, leather and vanilla intertwine on the nose. It works smoothly in the mouth: mature tannins blend nicely with mild acid and likeable alcohol. The perception of ripe fruit and plum jam is complemented by cloves, chocolate, molasses … The aftertaste is long, multi-layered, at the same time astringent, warm and vanilla sweet.
We recommend Cabernet sauvignon Amfora for meat dishes, especially for venison sauces, ragouts and goulash, for veal and pork legs, bograč and other spicy meat dishes, for grilled meat, burgers, lamb and kid, mature cheese … The ideal serving temperature is 18 – 20 ° C.
