Quela Klinec

Quela is a powerful and balanced red wine that comes from a blend of merlot, cabernet franc, and cabernet sauvignon. The grapes come from vineyards located on the hills of Medana in Goriska Brda composed of an ancient subsoil rich in ecocene rocks, minerals and fossils. The vines grow according to the philosophy of Aleks that embraces the principles of biodynamics and follows the certified biological principles. In the cellar Ala vinification is spontaneous with only indigenous yeasts and makes 30 days of maceration on the skins. The refinement is carried out in wooden barrels for at least 3 years. Filtrations or clarifications are not part of Klinec’s thought. Quela dresses in a sparkling ruby ​​red color. On the nose, aromas of plum, cherry under spirits, medlar, dried figs, wet leaves, licorice and goudron. On the palate it is medium-bodied, balanced, crossed by a mineral blade, with references to flint and cherry. Finale in which the robust tannin of cabernet sauvignon.

Pairing with food: Ideal wine to accompany red meats, venison, it is perfect with truffle partridges.
