Malvasia – Zlato runa PGI, is a wine with a golden hue in color, which is a varietal characteristic of Malvasia, especially if the maceration of the grapes is prolonged. The wine is full in taste, which shows that the grapes have ripened to perfection, at the end it leaves a creamy aftertaste, which is typical of wines matured on lees, and rounds it off into a pleasant harmony of aromas and taste. During the harvest, when the ripening of the grapes is already beyond technological maturity, experienced locals pick them by hand in the vineyards, because we want to bring only healthy grapes to the cellar. We macerate it for 5 to 7 days in the classic way, just like the rest of our wines, in tubs with regular dipping of the cap. Further fermentation takes place in steel, after the end of which one part of the wine goes into used oak barrels, while the other part remains in steel. So we mature it for a year, after which we combine it and fill it in bottles, where it waits for its time to join the selected dishes.
Pairing with food: we recommend it with cheeses, fish dishes and also with any good piece of meat.
