Product description

The “Sialis” Pinot Grigio by Franco Terpin is a great expression from the Friulian Collio. It is produced from the best grapes selected in the Sialis cru, from over 70 years old vines. It is a white wine macerated on the skins and is aged for several months in barrique. The result is an intense olfactory complexity and a smooth, elegant and long-lasting flavour. Wine made with old style artisanal methods.

Color: Antique rose colored wine with shades of Venetian red

Olfactory notes: The nose opens with gentle evolved floral notes, turning on bitter citrus notes to finish with a light sweet note.

Tasting notes: The sip pleasantly tickles the palate. The enveloping and softness flow quickly, while a salty note remains persistent and closes the sip. Rightly tannic but without exaggeration… complex, lively and aggressive wine.

The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented spontaneously on the skins for about 14 days. This is followed by a period of aging for 12 months in wooden barrels and 3 years in the bottle.

Pairing with food: Fish Stew, Smoked Fish Appetizers, White Meat Stew, Warm Fish Appetizers, Pasta with Fish no Tomato
