Boris’s tip: One of most interesting Zelen in Slovenia because of interesting maturation and maceration.
Zelen is an autochthonous grape variety from the valley of the river Vipava. Its noble qualities were extolled by the author and viticulturist Matija Vertovec in the first half of the nineteenth century. Along with Pinela, Zelen is to the Vipava Valley what Vitovska is to the Karst: the pride of winemakers and a reason to uncover new layers of local wine experiences.
