Bordon

The family-run, ecological vineyard estate Bordon is located in Dekani, in the Rižana river valley.

In 1985, Ivan Bordon was the first among the private winemakers of Slovenian Istria to launch his own wine brand. Today, his son Boris and grandson Jan, along with other family members, continue with innovation and dedicated work. They strive for perfection and the production of top-quality organic wines, which repeatedly receive enviable recognitions and awards, both at home and abroad.

You can also spend the night with the Bordons in a stylishly decorated apartment and taste all their wines accompanied by typical Istrian delicacies and their own olive oil. A wide variety of wines are produced on 12 hectares of vineyards. They mainly focus on indigenous varieties. Malvasia, Malvasia Dora, Evina and muscat sparkling wine, E.vin rosé, Refošk, Ivanova Refošk, Anabela (white type), Bon d’or (red type), Merlot, yellow Muscat, straw wines from dried grapes, and something else interesting was located in their new basement.
